<description>Hey Rob - Loved the pictures of gold. I didn&#039;t realise all the differences/shapes. Very interesting article. Like the new page too.

<description>I agree that having some gold and silver makes one sleep better at night. It is also a strangely satisfying thing to acquire and you don&#039;t feel the temptation to spend it like other savings...

At least that has been my experience...

Thanks for stopping by,

		<description>Darryl,

Good question...

Based on what I have read on this subject, I imagine that gold will be used for very large purchases, like a horse and saddle or some cows, or guns and ammo, etc.

Or gold could be traded for a quantity of silver that can be used for smaller trades. Think of gold as your $1000 bills and the silver as the smaller bills-- $100, $50, $20, $10, $5...

People could also accept parts of cut-up gold coins that are then weighed to establish the value. (kind of like pieces of eight in the olden days of yore)...

Glad you like the page!

		<description>Rob,

Nice page. Question for you: in the event of a major financial collapse, do you envision gold coins being used to buy goods in the same way that cash is used to buy goods today?

		<description>Hi Rob,

it&#039;s ok to have Gold also because it&#039;s really REALLY pretty, yes? ;)

Excellent point.

Gold is actual CURRENCY. It IS money. Not... pieces of paper with a promissory note.

Happy Dating and Relationships,

<description>Hey Rob! Glad you are around dishing out this kind of reccommendation. I&#039;ve been telling my friends (particularly those in the US) that they need to buy gold/silver. I say they need a small stash on them. I think they think I&#039;m crazy. I just tell them I care about them. Now your around, I&#039;ll send them over here.
