I survived Amsterdam…

by Rob on September 21, 2009

Hi I just got back to the USA and it has been raining non-stop here for almost a week. There are flash floods everywhere and schools closed due to excessive flooding.

Tomorrow I will catching up on things and reading your survey responses. Thanks…
Rob

Rob,

ATL is on the news re: its flooding. It’s pretty amazing. Four people have died in flood related incidents. Stay safe!

I’m glad I’m not where you are – my car has developed a habit of losing the power steering and sometimes stalling going through a deep puddle. This is particularly scary on the highway!

Welcome back. We dealt with a flood this year in Fargo, ND. Out filling sand bags and throwing sand bags building dikes. Not fun.

They make self filling sandbags now. Place in water and presto. Played in the rain in GA(Benning School for Boys) Worst was sleeping in the frozen mud. Yes, when you are tired enough you can sleep anywhere.

It’s raining in Texas too . . . It’s a bonafide cold front.
