That is personal responsibility. You take care of you and you help those less fortunate - that's neighborhood law. My grandmother can take care of more people than most able-bodied 20-somethings. It all comes down to perspective. If an 83 year old woman can make things happen . . . what the F are you doing? My 93 year old grandfather (different side of the family) can too.
