		<description>Hi Rob,

I like this section of your blog. Though your facts often times do give me a starker view of reality than I am ready for, they are needed. Thanks for showing us the bigger picture.

<description>Very interesting. I do not scare easily and I don&#039;t worry about what might happen. That is a waste of my time. Yes being being prepared is essential. Sometimes the media blows things out of proportion and sometimes they don&#039;t tell us what we should know. I will either weather or perish as everyone will.

<description>I like the Sunday format, keep it up Rob!

My question for next week - unperishable goods that can be stashed in the car?

<description>We can get ourselves worked up over this, as I have over the years.

I&#039;ve decided that for me the best course of action is to take care of me and mine to the best of my abilities, thus this course as one action in my total control. Next is to lend all the support I can offer to larger causes I believe in, like supporting Ron Paul in the Revolution.

After that I put the outcome in the hands of the Divine working through the people.

That&#039;s what I can do and for me it&#039;s therapy.</description>

		<description>Katie,
Here are the U-6 number by state averaged over a 9 month period from Oct 1, 2008 till June 30, 2009. You can assume that the unemployment rates as of Oct 2009 are about 20% worse but this gives an idea of the comparative levels in different states.

<description>Lisa, LOL! you are exactly in the same position of most people.

Do you have all the space under your beds filled with stuff? Maybe you could slide a few low profile plastic tubs under the bed with enough stuff to get you through a7 day emergency. Another idea is to get at least your 7-day supply packed in a very portable &quot;bug out bag&quot; and keep it in the trunk of your car at all times.

We will work on getting you some good answers, I plan to start on the bug out bag in the near future and go through one in detail...

Thanks for reading Lisa, you are exactly who I am trying to reach...

and I hope that none of us ever needs any of this preparation.

<description>It would be even more interesting to see on a map how this plays out. Are there particular areas of the country, say, Detroit, where this is worse? I&#039;m betting there are areas where the U6 is well into the 30% range.
